Curtis Love discusses the need for both unity and dissent within the context of community.
In Missional communities we need both unity and dissent. Unity in community is an acknowledgement of our fundamental interconnectedness, our Ubuntu as they say in Zulu. It is an expression of our oneness that Jesus so fervently prayed for in John 17. Truly it is an expression of our deepest identity as the body of Christ. Unity is precious…but equally as precious is dissent.
